Ellie Benjamin Stern, drawing upon his expertise in government, policy, congressional affairs, international relations, and strategic consulting, is deeply committed to driving change and defending vulnerable communities. Currently, he is dedicated to advancing government relations and policy initiatives, focusing on ending the epidemic of childhood chronic diseases. His primary objectives involve developing congressional safeguards to ensure children's future health and safety.

Stern has garnered extensive experience in policymaking through his work in the U.S. Congress, non-governmental organizations, human rights groups, and think tanks. His influence extends globally, collaborating closely with political leaders, senior officials, diplomats, and lawmakers across countries, shaping policies on an international scale. Stern’s role in congressional negotiations and legislation is defined by his meticulous research, formulation, drafting, and leadership of bipartisan congressional measures, particularly on matters concerning U.S. national security interests and domestic policy. His background includes serving as a senior legislative assistant, a senior legislative fellow in the U.S. House of Representatives, and as a manager of a substantial congressional bipartisan member group comprising over a hundred Members of Congress.

On the Hill, Stern oversaw several domestic policy portfolios on health care, environmental policy, natural resources, and financial services, including working on children’s policies. He met with groups, constituents, and government agencies and dealt with congressional authorizations and appropriations on policy matters, research, and funding. He successfully advanced international maternal, neonatal, infant, and medical-surgical services in the developing world. Stern's congressional background also includes national security, war powers, nuclear nonproliferation, counterterrorism, sanctions regimes and trade, and foreign policy. As a key staffer in Congress, he managed and advanced the U.S.-Israel relationship and Strategic Partnership and was responsible for sensitive and emerging national security threats. His expertise, which relates to his doctoral research in political science, is in evaluating the extent of Congress’s influence and decision-making on policy.
Off the Hill, Stern has served as an executive director of a civil and human rights non-governmental organization (NGO) founded in 1918, with a long history of defending the American Civil Rights Movement. In this role, he met on policy issues with current and former heads of state, presidents, prime ministers, foreign ministers, and United Nations ambassadors. He also organized and directed an international mayors' conference bringing together 20 heads of cities from around the world, meeting with senior members of the Israeli government and the high-tech sector. As a senior fellow with think tanks, he has engaged in international policy discussions, assessing national security matters and briefing lawmakers and officials.
He has demonstrated unwavering leadership during crises, showcasing resilience and strategic acumen to ensure stability and security in challenging situations. His expertise lies in navigating complex policy challenges, advocating for innovative solutions, and fostering collaboration across party lines to develop inclusive and comprehensive policies.

Stern studied in Germany, Austria, and Israel, graduating cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Government from the Interdisciplinary (IDC) Center Herzliya's Lauder School of Government, Diplomacy, and Strategy. Stern received his master’s degree in European Studies from Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf Germany. He completed his post-graduate studies at one of the oldest diplomatic schools in the world, the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna. He has diplomas in European Studies, International Relations, and Conflict Resolution.
